Corina Benalcázar (b. 1996, Quito) is an Ecuadorian visual artist and researcher who lives and works between Shanghai and Quito. Her practice spans installation, sculpture and painting, often using familiar objects and materials. By changing their scale, context and arrangement, she creates works that reveal only part of what they contain and invite close attention. Sound, scent and light are recurring elements in her installations.
